Manchester City wants to sign 20-year-old winger Bukayo Saka from Arsenal. Saka has a contract with Arsenal until 2024 and Mikel Arteta, manager of Arsenal, will enter talks with him. The young winger scored 12 goals this 2021-2022 season, eleven of which came in the Premier League. He also assisted in seven goals this season. He made 38 appearances in the Premier League this season.

Till now, Saka has made 131 senior appearances for Arsenal and scoring 23 goals and assisting in 29 goals. He has also won the FA Cup and the Community Sheild during his time at Arsenal and he has 15 caps for England. Saka has been one of the most influential players in Arsenal’s success over the past few seasons and has been a standout player.

Bukayo Saka may leave?

Even though Saka is a born and bred Gunner. However, Arsenal’s failure to achieve Champions League football might be the reason Saka will leave. Manchester City also just won the Premier League also are continuously playing Champions League football, it might interest him to leave Arsenal. There is also a possibility that Saka could ask for a release clause in his contract with Liverpool also interested in him. However, Machester City continues to monitor the situation carefully.

Manchester City have already bought attackers such as Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland but they might lose Gabriel Jesus. There is a chance they might do a swap deal with cash involving Jesus and Saka. Jesus might cost upwards of 40 million pounds. Also, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling are also looking for a move away from Manchester City so Arsenal have plenty of options.

Also, Arsenal are not willing to sell Saka for anything less than 43 million pounds. They are also being pressured to add a release clause of 101 million pounds in any new contract that they give him.

The situation is yet to develop and it will be seen if Saka leaves his boyhood club or remains loyal to them.
