Lyon outlines their demand for selling Chelsea target Barcola

Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, has stated that he wants to add another attacker to the team despite the fact that the transfer window is just one week away from expiring. According to reports, Lyon has informed Chelsea that in order to transfer Bradley Barcola this summer, they need cash as well as a player swap. Chelsea are intensifying their pursuit of the 20-year-old after failing to land Michael Olise.

Chelsea face PSG challenge to sign Bradley Barcola

French U-21 star Barcola can play as a forward or right winger. The youngster has played his whole senior career for Lyon. He finished the previous campaign with seven goals and 10 assists proving his mettle. Paris-Saint-Germain are additionally linked with Barcola, a France U21 international, in addition to Chelsea. Lyon has now informed both clubs that they will only trade Barcola if they are paid the asking price plus a player swap.

According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcola had already committed to joining PSG after recruiting Jorge Mendes to seal the deal. PSG is “very nervous” about the scenario as a result of Lyon’s ongoing price changes for the France Under-21 international. According to a Foot Mercato report, Lyon was seeking €50 million for Barcola.

Bradley Barcola has already announced to his coach and management that he wants to leave Lyon. He would like to join PSG as evident from June. However with Chelsea Boss willing to sign a goalkeeper, it’s very uncertain that Chelsea will spend that much for the youngster.

The Parisians’ current objective is to acquire Randal Kolo Muani. Therefore, this is an excellent time to get his signature. Hence Chelsea should make a formal offer to demonstrate their interest. Due to their Ligue 1 rivalry, Lyon and PSG appear unwilling to do business together. If Chelsea were to make a competitive offer, Lyon may be inclined to sell him to the Blues. Romano has also asserted that Chelsea prioritise a No. 10 who is both creative and versatile. Surprisingly Barcola fits that description, so as we approach the end of the summer transfer season, we might expect a bold move from the Blues.
