Liverpool FC: Potential £20 million price reduction for Wolves star.

Matheus Nunes

The 24-year-old Wolves player has been named as a key target by Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool FC. The Reds search for midfield reinforcements this summer.

Wolves, who recently acquired Nunes in the summer, are holding out for offers above £50 million from Premier League opponents. Although relegation to the Championship would force them to lower their asking price to between £30 and £40 million.

Wolves are currently 13th in the Premier League standings. But are only three points above the drop zone after winning just one of their previous five games.

Nunes was a target for Liverpool FC last summer, but Wolves ultimately prevailed in the competition to buy the Sporting Lisbon starlet for a club-record £42.2 million.

Nunes has made 29 appearances across all competitions for a total of 1,703 minutes this season, missing just two Wolves games.

He has one assist since joining Wolves team in the summer but has yet to score for them but is a key target for Liverpool FC.

Nunes’ versatility this season has been praised by Lopetegui. Who has used the Portuguese international in a variety of positions, including the left wing.

“He is trying to adapt to this position. He has the conditions to have a good performance in this situation; he’s strong, he’s potent and he has a good quality,” said the Wolves boss amidst Liverpool FC rumours.
