Leicester City had turned down Chelsea’s offer for defender Wesley Fofana

Wesley Fofana is unhappy when Leicester City refused Chelsea’s offer for their center-back. Leicester City is an English football club in the East Midlands of England, founded in 1884. Leicester City has the only top-level English Silverware when they won the 2015-2016 Premier League Title. The Foxes under Claudio Ranieri had proved themselves by winning the League that season. Surely, it was the first time for the Foxes fans all around the world to celebrate when the club lifted the trophy in King Power Stadium.

Since then, The Foxes want to get back into the top 4 of the League tables. Leicester City’s manager Brendan Rodgers didn’t much show up in the summer transfer window. And now the Foxes did refuse Chelsea’s deal for the young defender Wesley Fofana.

Wesley Fofana to stay in Leicester City by declining Chelsea’s offer

French international footballer, born on 17th December 2000, plays as a defender in the English club Leicester City. Fofana was born in Marseille and started his youth career on 15 May 2018 with Saint-Étienne. 21-year-old joined the English league in October 2020 for the Foxes by signing a five-year contract. Also, Fofana suffered numerous injuries in the last two seasons of the English Premier League. But still, Foxes coach Brendan Rodgers has seen a great potential in the Frenchmen, as he has rejected the Blue £70m for the Fofana. Although the young Frenchman is unhappy with Brendan Rodger’s decision regarding his stay at the King Power Stadium.

The current record-holder for the defender transfer is Harry Maguire’s £80m signing to Manchester United from Leicester City. Moreover, Foxes’ boss Brendan Rodger has seen the youngster’s interest in the transfer to the London giants Chelsea. But the manager has said guided the Frenchman at the club to maturing his gameplay.
