The injury list for Arsenal continues as they suffer more injuries against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal are currently on top of the league and recently defeated Nottingham Forest by 5-0 score.
Goals from Martinelli, Partey, Odegaard, and a brace from academy graduate Nelson helped the Gunners secure a 5-0 victory.
Injury update of Arsenal players
Saka assisted Martinelli’s goal but was subbed off in the 27th minute by Nelson. This injury does not only concern Arsenal fans but also England fans as the world cup is on the doorstep and you need Saka to be available.
Arteta on the situation:
Hopefully not. It was a bad kick.”
He added:
“Right from the beginning he was limping, but I don’t see any further than that. Let’s see how he is in the next couple of days.
”Regarding his injury, Arteta added:
“I think both [foot or ankle]. He got kicked a few times and he wasn’t comfortable.”
Apart from him, there are a few others also who are unavailable due to injury.
The list of injured players includes Matt Turner, Marquinhos, and two key players Zinchenko and Smith Rowe.
Arteta on the situation
Regarding Turner, Arteta said:
“Matt [Turner] felt something in his groin last night, so we decided to start with Aaron [Ramsdale].“
On Zinchenko he said:
“He had a recurring injury in his calf. That’s why he’s been out for this period.”
Suffering from injury from pre-season, ESR had found it difficult to adjust this season. Since the match against Manchester United, the English midfielder had undergone surgery.
Arteta addressed ESR’s condition:
“That’s been an ongoing issue that he’s had. He’s had some discomfort in the groin area and hasn’t had any continuity this season,”
The Arsenal boss said in a press conference before the win over Brentford,
“It’s something we are trying to assess.”
“We’re trying to help him as much as possible in any way we can because we need him fit, we need him available, and we need him performing at his best level because he’s such an important player for us.“
“Unfortunately, for this period and periods last year, we haven’t had him.”
Injuries are surely a huge concern and probably the only things that can affect this season for Arsenal.
Arsenal will surely be looking forward to spending huge in January to increase the squad depth.
