Jurgen Klopp is aiming for the £17 million young defender who’s a possible hier to Van Dijk.

Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp is aiming for the premier league title this season. Liverpool are at the 2nd place in the league at the moment. They’re just behind Arsenal. Moreover, the Reds are in high spirits after defeating Fulham in a nail biting encounter. Thanks to the brace from Trent Alexander Arnold because of which they won the match. Liverpool displayed a never give up attitude in that match and they turned around the scoreline in the dying moments of the match. However, defensive issues have been a major problem for the Reds. Because of this very reason, Liverpool conceded lots of goals last season which cost them the champions league spot. They need to bring in further reinforcements in the defence in order to concede less goals.

As per footballfancast, Jurgen Klopp is targeting LOSC Lille defender Lenny Yoro. The 18 year old French defender has been impressive at his club. He’s caught the attention of the scouts from all over the Europe. Furthermore, Liverpool are not the only club that are looking to sign the youngster. Manchester United and Tottenham are also in the player’s pursuit.

Jurgen Klopp is aiming to strengthen Liverpool’s defensive unit.

Surprisingly, Leny Yoro has become an important part of the French Club. At just 18 years of age, he’s got 34 appearances for Lille. Moreover, he started in 8 games for the club. Despite being a defender, he’s scored 3 goals for the club in his 18 appearances across all competitions this season so far. Yoro is amongst the top 7% of positional peers across Europe’s top 5 leagues for pass completion in the previous year. That’s a great achievement at his young age. Because of his performances, people are referring to him as the hier to Virgil Van Dijk. However, we don’t know what he’s got to showcase if he arrives in the premier league. Only after his arrival we can see what can the youngster do in order to be a regular player in the starting 11.
