Hugo Lloris of Tottenham is linked with several Saudi clubs in January

Tottenham Hotspur club legend and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is set to be of interest of clubs in Saudi again in the January transfer window.

The Frenchman was one of the first names on the team sheet for a decade at Spurs. But since Ange Postecoglou‘s arrival in the summer, he hasn’t had a look-in at the playing 11. Now, it’s only a matter of time before he leaves Tottenham and Tottenham respects him as he is a club legend.

Hugo Lloris leaving Tottenham is inevitable now

Hugo Lloris has been at Tottenham since joining them from Olympique Lyon. This is all the way back in the summer of 2012.

The Frenchman was one of the best goalkeepers in Europe. This is during his prime years at Spurs. And he played a key part during their highs under Mauricio Pochettino and co.

Lloris’ performance levels gradually dropped over the last few years. And it became clear at the end of last season that Tottenham had to sign an upgrade over him if they wanted to progress.

In came Guglielmo Vicario, and the Italian has arguably been their signing of the summer tranfer window.

That has resulted in Lloris dropping out of the side. And the Frenchman hasn’t made a single appearance since the start of this season as Ange doesn’t prefer him.

The Frenchman cannot even get on the bench. Even Fraser Forster is ahead of him in Ange Postecoglou’s pecking order for goalkeepers.

A move away in January is the best thing for all parties. And we won’t even be surprised if Tottenham agree to let him leave for free. This is just to get his £100,000-a-week wages off the books for the next six months. Tottenham would be really pleased by the service provided by Lloris so far in his Tottenham career.
