“He stays”- 33 year old Nacho extends stay at Real

About Football Express UK

At the age of 11, Nacho enrolled in the Real Madrid academy. Since then, he has made 319 appearances for the senior team and has won no fewer than 23 titles throughout his 22 years at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 33-year-old hasn’t always been a starter for the team during his time there, but he has happily stepped in anywhere along the backline when necessary. And proving to be a dependable choice in emergency situations and providing some seasoned leadership in the locker room.

“I see him every day, and I understand his discomfort at not playing, and he’s gone through moments where he was not happy.” manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed earlier this season. But he’s not complained, he continued to suffer, and show professionalism.

Nacho to help in providing backup for Real

“When I have needed him, he’s been ready. I’m not here to make friends, but for Real Madrid to win.”

On Wednesday, Los Blancos extended Toni Kroos’ contract; Nacho’s contract, like that of the German midfielder, expired at the end of the month.

Nacho will serve as the team’s captain for the upcoming season in place of the club’s former captain, Karim Benzema. Since joining Real Madrid at the age of 11, the Spanish defender has been a part of the team for more than 20 years.

Nacho has five Champions league titles, five Club World Cups and three La Liga titles.
There is reports suggesting that the Spanish defender would be thinking about a move away from the Spanish capital. And with the likes of Inter Milan being linking to him but now its all on the past.
