Europa League surprise entry Arsenal goes one on one with Everton

Mikel Arteta

Europa League surprise appearance club Arsenal will welcome Everton at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have begun the 2022-2023 campaign with a good start. The Gunnars have won their 5 out of 6 opening matches this season. Losing only a match at Old Trafford by Erik ten Hag side Manchester United. Even though, they sit firmly at the top of the table. The Gunners have just missed out on their chances to play in Champions League qualification. And moreover, they lost it to their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of last season. Mikel Arteta has been trying to shape up his young side. The Spanish manager brought star players like Marquinhos, Gabriel Jesus as well as Oleksandr Zinchenko. Arteta also bought Fabio Vieira and Matt Turner to the London side for their better performance in the Europa League.

Another English club from Merseyside is having its own different story. Everton saved themselves from the relegation zone by just 4 points. Not the result Toffees would have been expecting from their club. Moreover, Everton haven’t been able to come out of its ruins. They aren’t able to win a single match in their opening 6 matches of this season. They again sit just 2 positions above the relegation zone.

Both the clubs need to work on themselves before they face each other.

Can Everton challenge the Europa League club Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium?

The London club will take on the Merseyside club at the Emirates Stadium on the weekend. The Spanish manager Mikel Arteta does need to come up with a new plan for Frank Lampard’s boys. Like every other match, this match is like an opportunity they get up in the points table. But that’s not the story of this match. Arsenal will be welcoming Everton after a surprise defeat at Old Trafford by Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United. The Gunnars do need to get back their composure after the breaking of their unbeatable 5 match streak. It’s gonna be a very important week for the Spainian to motivate his squad after the defeat by the Red Devils.

Whereas, the Merseyside club, Everton will be looking for their first victory this season. The Toffees under the management of the Englishman Frank Lampard are still waiting for their first win. Evidently, the Englishman does need to change his previous tactics, strategies, and plans. In order to secure a win over the Gunnar in London at Emirates Stadium.

Both the manager do need to bring out their best attack and defence for their upcoming face-off. The Europa League club Arsenal will be looking to get back in form. Meanwhile the Merseyside club Everton will be searching for their first win under Frank Lampard this season.
