David Seaman now gives his score prediction for Chelsea vs Man City

Chelsea

David Seaman has now given his score prediction ahead of this weekend’s clash between Chelsea and Manchester City.

Chelsea host Man City on Sunday afternoon in their final game before the international break.

The Blues go into the Premier League fixture fresh off winning 4-1 away at Tottenham earlier in the week, so you would hope the mood around Stamford Bridge is positive right now.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are finding a way this season to compete with the division’s top sides, despite only sitting 10th in the league themselves.

They’re now preparing for the toughest test of welcoming treble winners Man City to the Bridge.

Chelsea vs Manchester City battles

Speaking on his own weekly podcast, David Seaman has predicted the outcome of Man City’s visit to Chelsea.

Seaman said: “I’m going to go 2-0 Man City.”

In contrast, when speaking on The Overlap this week, Gary Neville predicted Chelsea to record a draw against Man City.

There’s going to be several fascinating individual battles all over the pitch this weekend.

How can Reece James fare against Man City’s in-form winger Jeremy Doku? We’ve seen in the past Chelsea’s right-back shut down some of the world’s elite wide players, but it’s worth remembering he’s only freshly back from injury.

Elsewhere, can Conor Gallagher step on to Man City’s Rodri? He so often orchestrates games as the deep-lying midfielder for Pep Guardiola’s side

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer, who left the Etihad back in the summer, will hope he can cause a real threat to his former teammates. He’s certainly the player we’re looking at as the most likely candidate to be our match-winner on Sunday.

The Blues have lost the previous six consecutive meetings against this weekend’s opponents, so now would be a good time to break that duck.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side held Liverpool and Arsenal to 1-1 and 2-2 draws,

Respectively, at home and Neville thought the trend would continue. He said on The Overlap
