The versatile forward has featured across the front line this term. He has played as the striker, false nine, attacking midfielder and even on the wing. But he has played the majority of his games as the second striker or as the false nine.

Nkunku is undoubtedly one of the hottest prospects in the world. He is widely expected to leave the Bundesliga outfit in the summer. The 24-year-old has drawn interest from major European giants. Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG are all scouting the French forward.

Ralf Rangnick is pushing the Manchester club to sign the versatile forward from his former side. While PSG are keen on re-signing their former academy prospect. Nkunku joined RB Leipzig from PSG back in the summer of 2018. RB Leipzig only paid a transfer fee close to £15million for Christopher Nkunku. They will be hoping for a hefty profit on their French star.

Is Christopher Nkunku a good option for Chelsea?

The new Chelsea owners will be looking to spend big in their first transfer window in the hope to win over the fans. Christopher Nkunku would certainly fit that bill and could end the blue’s hunt for a new striker. The club signed Romelu Lukaku for a club-record fee in the summer but things have not quite gone to plan for all parties involved. The club are certainly in the market for a new striker in the summer.

But the club would need to be careful before buying another forward from the Bundesliga. Firstly, Kai Havertz was also signed for a big transfer fee by the blues. The forward has not quite recaptured his Bundesliga form till now. Secondly, Timo Werner was signed from RB Leipzig. The striker has also failed to impress the Chelsea faithful. Werner is on the verge of leaving the club in the summer.
