The information was made public on Twitter by Fabrice Hawkins, a journalist for RMC Sport, who explained the operation. He said the Frenchman’s transfer to Stamford Bridge is nearing completion after a ‘deal in principle’ was reached between Chelsea and Crystal Palace. According to rumours, the Blues will shell out “slightly less than €40 million” to sign the Eagles player this summer.
The 21-year-old is eager to join Stamford Bridge. Olise is now finalising personal terms before his medical. However his hamstring injury will keep him out for a few weeks. Manchester City and other teams have shown interest in Olise, but Chelsea has moved rapidly in the past few hours to try to land him. Chelsea has already spent more than £275 million this summer, surpassing the British transfer record to buy Moisés Caicedo from Brighton in a move that could be worth up to $115 million.
