Chelsea have been targeting Gabriel Moscardo since a while now. The 18 year old Brazilian defensive midfielder is the prime target for the blues. Moreover, the blues are the leading club in the race to sign him. The club are in dire need of a midfielder at the moment. And that’s clearly visible in their matches. Chelsea lost to Newcastle United 4-1 just before they were getting back to their winning ways.
As per footballfancast, Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino is not happy with the club’s performance at St. James Park. Furthermore, the coach is more angry because this loss has came after such a solid run for the blues. It seemed like the blues weren’t fighting for the win at all at St. James Park.
” Even if Newcastle United weren’t at their best, they had their preparation done in the best way possible by beating us. We didn’t fight at all. We had to give them a tough time winning this game. But they did is so conviently. It’s more like we were playing softly. That’s the main reason I’m disappointed with the team. We’re a young team and we need to challenge our opponents if we want to get to the top 4. We can’t lose this type of opportunity. We need to display strong personality and character.” – Mauricio Pochettino said.
Chelsea are waiting for Gabriel Moscardo to arrive.
As per the reports, Gabriel Moscardo has already agreed a deal worth £26 million with Chelsea. However, he will arrive during the January transfer window when his signing is made official. Furthermore, the Brazilian has time till January to focus on his game so that he can adapt to the premier league once he arrives to England. Moreover, Mauricio Pochettino has had a good relationship with young talents and we’ve already seen that in the performances of Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo.
