The 23-year-old American forward has not played for Chelsea since Matchday 1 of this season due to his injury. The Champions League winner has proved to be vital behind Chelsea’s European success last season. He has become an important player and figure for his national team as well.

Christian Pulisic has been regularly starting for his national team before the injury. The (USMNT) currently stand second in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying table with Mexico on top.

Christian Pulisic doubtful for Chelsea’s next match says Head coach Thomas Tuchel Due to ankle Injury

Christian Pulisic has not been a part of his club and country since sustaining an ankle injury during the second half of the World Cup qualifiers against Honduras on September 8th. Head coach Thomas Tuchel has said that he remains very doubtful about their next UEFA Champions League fixture against Malmo.

“He got injured in the match with the USA with a Tough foul, hurt his ankle. There is nothing to worry in that we are hiding details. I cannot give you them because I’m not a Doctor“.

“At the moment, he has some setbacks from pain, not from major injury or from complications. It is simply the pain in the ankle that disturbs him. Once these players with these quick movements like Christian, once they feel this pain and are not free in the movement, the recovery is not happening, so you start all over again and reach a certain point where the pain comes back”.

The defending UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with 19 points. Chelsea is above second-placed Liverpool and defending Premier League Champions Manchester City. In their last Premier League fixture against Brentford last weekend, Chelsea’s new number 9 Romelu Lukaku scored a goal as Chelsea won their 6th match of the current season with just one defeat.

“In my opinion, Romelu is a bit overplayed. I think he played too many competitions over the summer, too many competitions with his National team. Now he played in the Nations League. He is a fantastic athlete and such a competitive guy that he digs deep, he wants to win things and never takes them easy”
