Bayern competes with Nottingham Forest for Trevoh Chalobah

Nottingham Forest

On the final day of the summer transfer window, there are a number of rumours regarding signings and outgoings. Trevoh Chalobah is now being chased by both Bayern and Forest. Joao Palhinha was recently acquired by Bayern Munich from Fulham, according to Fabrizio Romano. After Benjamin Pavard’s move to Inter Milan, the Bavarians are still looking for another defender. Thus, Trevoh Chalobah was on Bundesliga champions’ radar. But now, it looks like Chelsea might retain Trevoh Chalobah or sell him to Forest. It’s already too late for Bayern.

Trevoh Chalobah might stay at Chelsea this summer

Bayern must act quickly if they are to sign a defender before the deadline because there is less than an hour remaining in the Bundesliga transfer window, which closes at 5 p.m., six hours before the Premier League’s window. And by doing so, it appears that they have given up on trying to persuade Chelsea to grant Trevoh Chalobah a loan deal instead opting to approach Southampton for Armel Bella-Kotchap.

Fabrizio Romano reports that : “Trevoh Chalobah to Bayern, almost collapsed.”

Nottingham Forest is also eyeing Trevoh Chalobah. They has made a £25 million offer competing with Bayern Munich for the Chelsea player. The Daily Mail’s live transfer blog reports that Forest are about to receive £45 million for Brennan Johnson. Thus, Forest can cash in for the defender. Trevoh Chalobah appears to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge on deadline day. For Forest, Chalobah might be an extremely good acquisition. He is quite adaptive. He can play in midfield or defender. And having played for England’s youth teams under Steve Cooper, he is well acquainted with him.

Nottingham Forest has submitted a £25 million offer. But Chelsea’s asking price is around £50m . Thus, Trevoh Chalobah’s future is uncertain. He might stay at Chelsea as it seems till now.
