Unai Emery Aston Villa Premier League

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard is quite influenced by his squad player Emi Buendía. Former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard will face Crystal Palace this Saturday with Emi Buendía as his trump card. Founded in 1874, Aston Villa is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in England. They are also the founding members of the Football League in 1888 and of the Premier League in 1992. But the English club from Aston, Birmingham, finished 14th in the points table last season, 10 points above the relegation.

Steven Gerrard came in for Aston Villa in November 2021, and somehow he kept the club safe from relegation. Gerrard began Aston Villa’s new season with six new signings, to re-create the team. Eventually, Steven Gerrard wishes to give Villa fans all around the world, a more satisfying result this season.

Is Emi Buendía, Steven Gerrard’s trump card for Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace?

The 25-year-old Argentine winger had somehow got Steven Gerrard’s faith over him for the upcoming match against Crystal Palace. Buendía began his senior career at Getafe in the 2014–15 season, following his arrival to the English side of Norwich City in June 2018. In June 2021, Aston Villa took in the Argentine for £38 million. Since then, Emi Buendía has been showing his skill and potential for his side.

In his pre-match press conference, Aston Villa’s manager Steven Gerrard did value Emi Buendía by saying “He is pushing”

Buendía’s match-winning goal against Everton, gave Villans their first victory this season. Emi Buendía had 22 starts as he aided in 10 goal contributions for Aston Villa last season.

Gerrard also said, “Emi has been fantastic since the first day of pre-season, we are delighted with him and he is pushing for a start.”
