Arsenal player not interested in January transfer Ready to convince Arteta

Mikel Arteta

Back on Tuesday morning, Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport had a story on the chase from Serie A clubs in Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior.

AC Milan were said to be the most interested, as they’d like to try a loan deal with the Gunners in the January transfer window.

Now it’s time for outlet Fichajes to feature their own story on Kiwior, claiming that besides Milan, Napoli and AS Roma are also keen on the Arsenal player.

The outlet, however, believes that the defender is not keen on leaving the Gunners in the middle of the season.

It’s claimed that Kiwior’s idea is to remain in London and ‘turn the tables’ at Arsenal by starting to fight for a place in the team.

Mikel Arteta is also said to be against his departure,

So that’s a pretty clear sign that the player isn’t going anywhere in January.

Kiwior wants to stay in Arsenal

Arsenal spent €25m to sign Kiwior from Spezia in January. This season, he has eight appearances for the club, having indeed stayed on the bench for most games.

Jakub Kiwior made a name for himself quite early in his career while playing for Spezia. On the back of impressive performances,

The Gunners signed him at the start of the year for a fee of €25 million.

While he might not be a regular at this stage, the 23-year-old has huge potential. And, the Gunners believe he will play a big part in their first team in the near future. Meanwhile, the player has already established himself as a regular in the Poland national team.

Since joining the North London club he has featured in 16 matches and has also scored a goal. In the ongoing season, he has featured in eight matches. The Poland international’s contract with the Gunners runs until the summer of 2028,

And they have no intentions of parting ways with him in the near future.
