Arsenal player Gabriel Martinelli has now fallen ill, he’s not training

David Ornstein

Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is not training today and may not play against PSV Eindhoven. That is according to The London Evening Standard journalist Simon Collings,

who has also noted on X the situation of Bukayo Saka at the moment.

So, what is being reported about Arsenal and Gabriel Martinelli? Let’s take a look.

Well, Arsenal will take on PSV Eindhoven away from home in UEFA Champions League Group B this week.

The match will be played in the Netherlands and will be held on Tuesday evening.

Gabriel Martinelli to miss Arsenal match against PSV for precaution

Mikel Arteta’s side have already progressed past the group stage. Arsenal have picked up 12 points from five matches. They have won Group B already.

As The London Evening Standard journalist Simon Collings has noted on X, Arsenal have been training today ahead of the match against PSV.

Gabriel Martinelli is not in training. The Brazil international winger, described as a “world-class” player by former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein on talkSPORT, is ill.

Martinelli is unlikely to travel to the Netherlands, but his Gunners teammate and England international Bukayo Saka is likely to do so despite not training today.

Collings has reported that winger Emile Smith Rowe is back training with Arsenal.

Gabriel Martinelli is one of the best and most important players for Gunners , and I do not think that there is any need for manager Mikel Arteta to risk him against PSV.

Gunners have already done their job in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League this season.

Martinelli, 22, could do with a bit of rest before the next Premier League game. The Gunners will take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium next Sunday. I think that Arteta should not even take Saka to the Netherlands.

No need to risk Martinelli vs PSV
