Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Thomas Partey is available for the game against Leeds United. This is despite his knock during the international break.

Hence, it looks like the knock was only a minor injury. Therefore, the Gunners fans will have a sense of relief about his fitness.

ARSENAL STAR MIDFIELDER AVAILABLE FOR THE LEEDS UNITED GAME

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Thomas Partey is available for the Leeds United match. He has also confirmed that the physio of the club accompanied Partey during the international break with the permission of the Ghana Football Federation.

Arsenal manager further speaking on Thomas Partey said,” It’s something we’ve done in the past,” he told the Arsenal media team. “We have a really good relationship with the Ghanaian federation, and we have to manage and look after our players. “Obviously, he wasn’t fit enough to play in the second game but hopefully, he’s going to be back for the weekend.”

THE GUNNERS WILL HAVE TO FIND A BACKUP TO THOMAS PARTEY IN THE NEXT SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW

According to reports, Arsenal will try to sign a marquee midfielder in the next summer transfer window. Hence, the Gunners must try to sign a midfielder that can play as a back-up to Thomas Partey. He can also replace him in the long-term.

Hence, Declan Rice of West Ham links have resurfaced with the club. The Arsenal summer transfer target also has similar traits to the Ghana midfielder. However, the Hammers are going to demand at least 80 million for their club captain.

Although, this can be a long-term investment for Arsenal. The Gunners will potentially play in the Champions League next season. Hence, they cannot just depend on Thomas Partey.
