Arsenal is preparing to catch the solvenian star who rejected Man United

Arsenal

One of Europe’s most gifted themselves attackers Benjamin Sesko is receiving interest from Arsenal. Although he turned down an offer to Manchester United.

The Slovenian elected to join RB Leipzig last summer after switching down the desire of the Red Devils.

The 20-year-old played one final season in Austria with Red Bull Salzburg, where he scored 18 goals in 41 games, before joining the Bundesliga team in July 2023.

The Future of Benjamin Sesko

Benjamin Sesko at Leipzig has a impressive time so far.

Regardless of engaging in 13 games and putting up six goals, perhaps not starting as many as he would have liked.

Sesko came on as a late substitute against Manchester City in the Champions League last month. Even he was having struck in the 3-1 win over Young Boys on matchday one.

However, Leipzig is only requires £40 million for Sesko. Arsenal is sure they can win any race to get the attacker’s services, but AC Milan is also fascinated.

Mikel Arteta might be persuaded to bring in a second striker, though Eddie Nketiah proved his worth in recent matches.

Ivan Toney, a star player for Brentford, has also been linked to the Gunners.

In this situation, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has voiced:

“We believe in the players that we have first of all,” the Spaniard stated. “Because we have the resources that we have secondly, and at the moment we feel we are covering that position.”

Words from the Slovenian’s side

Elvis Basanovic, Sesko’s agent, revealed earlier this week that he had previously discussed a possible transfer for the young player with Milan.

Talking via the Milan Eye, Elvis Basanovic said:

“I can confirm that I spoke with Milan in the past about Sesko when Maldini was there. However in that moment a transfer wasn’t possible, it was not the right time,”

he added: “You never know in the future, Milan is a big club. Sesko feels very good now at Leipzig where he continues to grow.”

Sesko was rumoured to be moving to United in 2022, but he ultimately agreed to a move to RB Leipzig for about £21 million.

Explaining why he didn’t join the Red Devils, Sesko said in September: “The thing is, I wasn’t really involved in these kinds of conversations. But I think it was better to come here.”

He stated also: “It was very important for me to go to a place that plays a similar style of football. I already knew what I had to do and didn’t have to go through a whole learning process again.”

Let’s hope he finds what he’s looking for. Clubs are far superior than anything. It can push up or pull down a player by its culture.
