“I think he warrants playing for Arsenal at the top of the Premier League”- pundit picked Nketiah over Hojlund

Manchester United

Tim Sherwood believes that Eddie Nketiah of Arsenal is a striker who Manchester United ought to look into signing. As he would be an improvement over Rasmus Hojlund.

Last weekend, Nketiah gave Sheffield United fans something to remember with an incredible hat-trick. He scored during a 5-0 rout of the Blades.

After assuming a more significant role in Gabriel Jesus’s absence due to an injury occurs, earlier in the season. He now has five goals in 10 games this season.

Gabriel Jesus sustained another injury against Sevilla and out of commission for an extended length of time. That’s giving Nketiah the opportunity to take centre stage once more.

Pundits highlight key difference between Eddie Nketiah and Rasmus Hojlund

Eddie Nketiah, in Sherwood’s opinion, is unfortunate to have been positioned behind the Brazilian in Arsenal.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Former Tottenham manager has voiced:

“I feel sorry for Eddie because people always, even Arsenal fans, always asking questions about him and look at what he can’t do.”

“I like to look at what they can do. He can play in a lot of teams, a lot of big teams.”

He added:

“You’re telling me this boy couldn’t play for Man United at the moment instead of Hojlund? He’s an upgrade on Hojlund. They spent an awful lot of money on him. For me, he’s top drawer. I think he warrants playing for Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.”

Sherwood continued by saying that Nketiah was able to realise all of his capabilities with the Gunners since he plays in conjunction with Jesus.

BBC pundit Izzy Christiansen on Arsenal vs Martial

Izzy Christiansen, a pundit for the BBC, has discussed how Manchester United and Arsenal have different mentalities.

Speaking on the BBC’s Monday Night Club show, she said:

“I have seen, and I’m not picking on him, but Anthony Martial has been at Manchester United for nine years and I’ve been at Old Trafford a few times in the last few weeks and I have watched him warm up.”

“Then you compare it to Arsenal. Eddie Nketiah gets his chance, starts a game, scores a hat-trick, wears the armband and you’re like hang on a minute this is a squad player at Arsenal who is coming on at doing that.”

By making a comparison between Anthony Martial and Eddie Nketiah she wants to assert that a team’s substitute players’ mindset can reveal lot about a team.
