Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko was the unsung hero in the win against Aston Villa. This win also helped the Gunners back on the top of the Premier League table.
Zinchenko also scored in the 4-2 win against Aston Villa. Hence, it looks like the half-time talk by Arteta worked for team.
ARSENAL DESTROY ASTON VILLA LATE IN THE SECOND HALF
Arsenal came from 2-1 behind in the first half to defeat Aston Villa 4-2. This win also took the Gunners back to the top of the Premier League table. Manchester City result also helped them as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest. Hence, the Gunners have got immediately got back their top spot. Many have also called Oleksandr Zinchenko the star of the game.
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has also called him the unsung hero of the win. He further said, “He brings a completely different dimension to the team, allows us to play the way we want to. Yeah, he’s been there and he’s done it. He’s got four out of five Premier Leagues [titles] so he knows what it takes to win,”. Ramsdale further added, “He’s been brilliant, you see the passion he’s got. He’s only been here a couple of months but he’s a huge part of our group.”

He also tried to get back to 3-3 with the last kick of the game. Martinez even joined in the box. However, Arsenal won the ball and Gabriel Martinelli scored to make it 4-2 on the counterattack. Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has also said that there was no need for Martinez to join the attack. Hence, Martinez will now hope to make mends in the upcoming Premier League matches.
Whereas, Arsenal will now hope to keep the good momentum going in the next match. They will also hope to have both Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus for the upcoming matches. Hence, it looks like the Premier League title is the priority over the Europa League.
