Arsenal captain Odergaard had a dispute with Saka during match

Martin Odegaard

During the match against Crystal Palace, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard displayed visible frustration towards his teammate Bukayo Saka.

The match between the two London teams wasn’t particularly captivating in the first half. Roy Hodgson’s reputation for organizing defensively resilient teams was evident. As Crystal Palace limited Arsenal’s opportunities and made it challenging for them to create chances.

Eddie Nketiah might rue the missed opportunity to give his team the lead as his delicate shot sailed over both Sam Johnstone and the crossbar.

The match was unfolding at a more measured pace than anticipated. Yet both sides were aiming to catch their opponents off guard whenever the chance arose. Towards the end of the first half, Martin Odegaard expressed his frustration with Bukayo Saka after Crystal Palace attempted such a maneuver.

Arsenal managing to win the match at the end

The second half began on a brighter note for the away team. They seized the lead through Eddie Nketiah’s swift decision-making.

During a free-kick setup in a critical position, Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah displayed astute movement by exploiting space and outpacing goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to the ball. Ultimately earning a penalty for his team.

There was an element of surprise as Martin Odegaard took the penalty kick instead of Bukayo Saka. However, if there was any lingering frustration between them from the first half, it seemed to dissipate. As both players were visibly comfortable when Odegaard calmly placed the ball past Johnstone into the net.
