Arsenal are reportedly preparing a new mega bid for Moises Caicedo in the next summer

Arsenal's Caicedo Brighton third

Arsenal are reportedly preparing a new mega bid for Moises Caicedo in the next summer. The Gunners also wanted him in the last January transfer window.

However, Brighton did not sell for big price as they had already lost Leandro Trossard to the Gunners. Chelsea are also in the race for Moises Caicedo.

ARSENAL AND MOISES CAICEDO TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to reports, Arsenal are preparing a mega bid for Moises Caicedo. The report also claims that the bid is close to 75 million. However, it is not yet clear that Brighton will accept the offer. The Gunners also wanted Caicedo in the January transfer window. However, Brighton refused to sell him after they had to sell Leandro Trossard in the January transfer window.

Arsenal were the team to sign Trossard for 25 million in the January transfer window. The Gunners also made two bids of 60 and 65 million for Caicedo. However, Seagulls rejected both the bids. Hence, Caicedo ended up extending his contract. However, the contract was extended only because of one condition. The condition was for Brighton to let him leave in the next summer transfer window irrespective of Brighton’s league position at the end of season.

CHELSEA STILL LEAD THE RACE FOR HIS SIGNATURE

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also said that Arsenal remain attentive of his situation. However, a report also claims that Chelsea lead the race for Moises Caicedo. Moises Caicedo is also open to a move to the Blues. However, he would still prefer a move to the club with European football. Hence, it is a open race between the Gunners and Chelsea.

However, Arsenal will have tough negotiations to make in the Moises Caicedo deal. Whereas, Chelsea have the chance to lower the price of the deal. This is because Levi Colwill impressed on loan with Brighton last season. Hence, they would like to make him move permanent. Brighton also made a bid of 30 million. However, Chelsea rejected the bid. New Chelsea manager Pochettino thinks Colwill fits well into his team for the next season.

Hence, this is making negotiations slow for Chelsea and Caicedo. Therefore, Arsenal can certainly make a bid of 75 million to test the waters for Caicedo. The Gunners and Chelsea should also have no problem in agreeing personal terms with the midfielder.
