Antonio Conte is a leading candidate to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After facing an embarrassing 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, his job is on the line.

The Mirror states that Conte wants £10 million per year at Manchester United

According to Fabrizio Romano, Conte is not fond of leading clubs midseason but United is an exception.

Is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a position like Frank Lampard?

Frank Lampard is arguably the best player of Chelsea. He took up the managerial role from 2019 to 2021 up till he was sacked.  Despite receiving criticism, he played a key role in bringing out the youngsters from the academy. He was a good manager but not capable of taking them to the next level.

Ole is in a similar position. Under Jose Mourinho, in his last season at United the Red Devils failed to make it to the top 4. In Ole’s first season itself, United made it to the top 4 and finished second in his second season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer like any other manager has his drawbacks. He is a good manager who brought out great qualities and good players out of their shells. But he is not a manager who can take the team to the next level.

Manchester United needs a manager like Thomas Tuchel. Manchester United have improved significantly but now they are stagnant in their progress. They need a manager to take them to the next level.

Does Ole deserve so much disrespect?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not only a manager but also a club legend. His last-minute goal against Bayern Munich won United the treble and the UCL.

Manchester United fans are often reactionary and impatient. The expectations were very high and impossible to be met so early.

Even the great Sir Alex Ferguson finished 11th in his second season at Manchester United.

The fans expected Manchester United to contend for titles after signing Ronaldo but it did not go that way.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not deserve so much disrespect from the fans of the club which he loves so much.
