Should Van De Beek and Lingard actually leave Manchester United?

About Football Express UK

In recent news for Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might end up getting sacked. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Manchester United board are giving Ole one last chance. This possibly implies good times for Van De Beek and Lingard.

Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspurs in their next match. This comes as a  difficult test for United because they are in a bad situation currently.

Even if Ole does somehow end up winning against Spurs. United face Atalanta BC and Chelsea, both difficult and important matches.

According to Manchester Evening News, the players are disappointed with Ole Gunnar’s player selection. They are surprised because Lingard is not playing and Van de Beek is impressive in training.

Van De Beek to outlast Ole Gunnar at United?Do United actually need Van De Beek and Lingard?

United will face strong teams in their next matches, anything else besides a victory will get Ole sacked. There is a good chance that Van De Beek will outlast Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford. United have lacked a good defensive midfielder this season but that problem arose because of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian was unhappy when the board did not buy or even try for a midfielder. He is right to demand a midfielder but is not right to ignore one which he already has.

Van De Beek can play as number 6 or a number 8. He is a physical player and can be a good defensive midfielder. Since Ole Gunnar is most likely to be sacked, the next manager might use him for his qualities.

Jesse Lingard shut all his haters up after a good loan season at West Ham. His back pass against Young Boys led to United conceding a goal and losing. In the following game itself, Jesse Lingard scored a much-needed goal against West Ham.

The England international is an attacking midfielder but can also play as a winger. United have two centre forwards (Ronaldo and Cavani) but not many options on the wings.

Sancho seems to be struggling and is not effective throughout the game. Jesse Lingard can certainly play on the wings and impress as he did in his glory days.
