Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister gives an update on his injury on social media. Liverpool played against Sheffield United last week where they had to settle with a draw. Moreover, the Argentine midfielder picked up a knee injury in that match. Because of this, he was out of the squad against Crystal Palace last weekend. However, the Reds managed to get a win with Harvey Elliot’s injury time winning goal.

According to caughtoffside, Manager Jurgen Klopp gave an update on Mac Allister to the reporters.

” Mac Allister’s injury doesn’t looks good. After the match against Sheffield, we were hoping that it’s not an injury to worry about. It certainly is not that much big injury but it’s not very good either. We are monitoring his situation day by day. He more likely to be out of the squad in the Europa league match against Union Saint Gilloise. Moreover, we also don’t know if he’ll be available on Sunday against Man United. I don’t expect him to be ready either. So we have to wait.” – Jurgen Klopp said.

The coach wants the player to recover fully before making a return to the pitch. In the meanwhile, he can experiment with other players in Mac Allister’s position. This would give Klopp an idea about who can be used as a backup in these kind of situations.

Alexis Mac Allister gives an update about his injury through his Instagram account.

Alexis Mac Allister posted a photo of himself on his Instagram account. He’s seen sitting and relaxing in that photo, but with a bandage wrapped on his leg. That’s an indication about his recovery phase. The Argentine midfielder wants to get back to the pitch as soon as possible. For that, he’s doing all the possible things. Moreover, he’s being monitored by the physios from the club. The club wants to make sure that he’s fully fit before getting back into the pitch.
