The Brazilian player joined Villa from Manchester City in 2019.
There were speculations going around Douglas’s future but his intentions are all clear now.
The 2020 gold medal Olympic winner played 120 games for villa and fans surely won’t mind him playing more games.
The midfielder was on arsenal’s target list but Villa rejected several bids and set their intentions clear.

Speaking to Villa’s official website, he said:
“I’m so happy. I love this club, love the people, staff and the players.
“I’m so comfortable here and I’m so happy.
“I love this club. This club opened the door for me when I came to England to play in the Premier League,”
he added.
“I’m so happy because I’m staying here and my choice is here.”
