Transfer News: Manchester United could sign ex-Chelsea forward

About Football Express UK

Manchester United are on the lookout for forwards in the transfer market and have identified Alvaro Morata as a viable option in the window.

Erik ten Hag has not had an ideal start to the Premier League season as many areas looked exposed against Brighton. However, the gaffer wants to immediately make changes and bring in a forward before the transfer window concludes.

The Red Devils could have the chance to sign the ex-Chelsea player who is currently with Spanish side, Atletico Madrid. Morata is also open to the idea of making his comeback to the Premier League this season.

Morata to Manchester United is possible

Erik ten Hag wants to bolster the squad however, he was left speechless after a dismal performance in the first match. The gaffer also deployed Christian Eriksen to play as a false nine for the Red Devils which changed the structure.

However, the manager believes it would be wise to bring in a forward who can bring the side the goals. Hence, the interest in Morata seems to be obvious and he could add a lot to this United side.

Moreover, according to Rob Dawson of ESPN, United are reportedly offered a chance to sign the Atletico ace. He said-

“United have been offered the chance to sign Alvaro Morata — Erik ten Hag is keen to add a physical back-up striker to his squad.”

Morata could be a great addition to United considering the level he operates at and the depth he can provide. Moreover, his Premier League experience only adds to his profile that could make difference at Old Trafford.

Manchester United could soon make an offer for the Atletico forward to land the player at the Theatre of Dreams.
