Santiago Gimenez linked with Arsenal over a shock January move

Arsenal

Arsenal look to have found the striker they need and it’s Santiago Gimenez. Arsenal were looking for a new striker in the January window. This is as they look to make sure they get over the line this time in the title race this season.

Arsenal are one of the main clubs being linked with Ivan Toney in the past. But Brentford are hoping to keep their star man. And he could cost up to £100m for any Premier League club.

Journalist named the Gunners have been tipped to move for is Santiago Gimenez. However, it seems even he will now cost a lifetimes fortune to bring in.

Santiago Gimenez could be the perfect fit for Arsenal

According to a report from The Guardian this weekend, Feyenoord star Santiago Gimenez is linked to many clubs in England. It is claimed the striker is one the radar of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea heading into January transfer window.

But while some might have thought a move on an Eredivisie club would come cheaper, it’s now claimed he’ll cost more than £60 million.

There’s no doubting Arsenal’s need for a new striker as they fight for the league. Gabriel Jesus continues to play well but without delivering the goals for the Gunners. Beyond that, Eddie Nketiah is an up and down player. Some pundits have doubted even whether he is the man for the job.

Gimenez is certainly impressing over in the Netherlands. If Ivan Toney isn’t going to be on the market, then Gimenez might well be worth a punt for Arsenal.
