After the 3-1 victory against Manchester United on Sunday, Saka shares what Rice said to him in post match interview.

Arsenal has started brilliantly in the 2023-24 Premier League campaign. The Gunners have managed to win three out of their four games . On last Sunday they thrashed United in 3-1 stunner.

Declan Rice scored the decisive goal for the Gunners. It was his first goal after coming from West Ham United to Arsenal in that season.

In the post match presentation, Saka shares Rice’s words on how he felt after scoring that stunner against Red Devils.

What did Rice tell Saka after the victory against United?

While speaking to talkSPORT, Saka shares what Rice told him after whole stadium started to cheer “Rice Rice Baby“.

“It was an unbelievable moment for him, his family and even the stadium. He even told me that the Emirates is crazy when he felt the atmosphere.

Saka said, “Yeah, that was amazing man”

He added , “I think I’ve watched his goal back over 20 times.”

“He’s right, it’s really special to play there so I’m just happy that he’s happy. He’s performing and obviously, he got his first goal so I don’t think there’s a better moment for him to get his first goal. I’m happy for him“, he told to talkSPORT.

It was Rice’s first goal in the Gunner’s shirt. In front of the home fans he had delivered the performance what Arsenal really needed. The goal itself was absolute banger.

It remembered the famous goal from Vincent Company’s from outside the box.

Arsenal’s expectation from the Englishman:

Arsenal had been lacking in the central midfield through couple of seasons. The last season Arsenal lost the English title because of the lack of depth from Thomas Partey at the midfield. For that reason they signed Declan Rice from West Ham, probably the defensive midfielder in the Previous season .

There was some high expectations from him. It’s too early to predict but i think he will fill the boots of Petit, Viera , some of Arsenal’s pillars in the midfield.

Let’s see how his season goes. Hope he will help Gunners to win the English title they have been aiming since a long period.
