Raphael Varane to Bayern Munich: Germans lose intrest in the player due to high price tag.

Manchester United

Raphael Varane to Bayern Munich is the new rumor in the market. The Germans are looking for defensive reinforcements and the former world cup winner seems like a perfect fit for them. However, the player’s £17 million per year wages are way to high according to the Germans. Moreover, the player hasn’t played a game for Manchester United since September and that raises concerns over his performance due to decrease in his playing time.

Given the fact that the Frenchman is an expensive deal for Bayern Munich, they are turning towards other clubs in search of a more affordable option. Thier search has brought them to the Japanese international and Arsenal defender, Takehiro Tomiyasu. However, the Japanese is affordable doesn’t means that he’s achievable. The Bologna signing is an important member for the gunners. Tomiyasu has started in only 7 games for Arsenal across all competitions this year. However, he’s displayed versatility and can adapt to both fullback and centre half positions. Due to this reason, Mikel Arteta won’t let the 25 year old Japanese international leave so easily.

Raphael Varane to Bayern is an expensive deal to crack.

As per unitedinfocus, Bayern are still targeting Varane. However, his price tag is way to high and unrealistic. Bayern do have an interest on the player and are currently monitoring his situation. But there’s no agreement made as of now. Moreover, shifting thier focus towards Tomiyasu would require Bayern to sign him in January as early as possible. But all depends upon the fact that if the player is interested for a move to Germany or not. Moreover, Arsenal wouldn’t be willing to let him go as they’re aiming for the top spot in the league. Bayern should explore other options in other European leagues as well. Let’s see what happens in the January transfer window.
