In a recent article by Globo, Ronaldo Nazario honored Gabriel Jesus with the title of one of the best strikers in the world right now.

The Arsenal star is set to make his first start for Brazil against Cameroon in their last group stage of the world cup.

Brazilian being already confirmed for the knockout stages, they will be looking to make many changes in their starting XI against Cameroon.

With Richarlison making his presence felt with a brace in the starting game against Serbia. It will be a tough challenge for Jesus to get a starting spot on the team.

R9 on Jesus

Starting all five games for Brazil’s last world cup, Jesus failed to score a single goal in all those matches.

Despite having more matches, both Richarlison and Jesus have the same goals for Brazil. However, no one can deny his contribution to the Arsenal camp.

Jesus surely has been a key player and played a crucial role for Mikel Arteta’s side. His backing by the fans became even more strong when R9 himself backed him.

R9 said to Globo,

“Gabriel today is one of the best strikers in the world and much more mature than in 2018. The goal will come out naturally and this concern should not cross your mind. All he has to do is get on the field and do what he knows.”

All those Jesus criticism seems unnecessary despite the fact he has only scored 2 goals for Arsenal this season.

Sometimes a player brings more to the table than goals and assists and Jesus is one of those players.

With his experience and his presence, there is surely a huge boost in the Arsenal camp compared to the past few seasons.
