Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino compares Jackson , the young Chelsea player to Vinicius jr. The 22-year-old striker has started in all of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far and has opened his goalscoring account during their 3-0 win over Luton Town in game week 3. Despite such drastic performance, however, there are certain reasons of Jackson compared with Vinicius Jr.

Jackson has till scored only a single goal in 5 games with Chelsea, and that too with a 3rd grade team of Luton Town.

Chelsea is currently in the 14th position of the premier league. They went down the table after losing with West Ham United and Nottingham Forest. Also they have conceded points against Liverpool and Bournemouth.

Pochettino compares Jackson with Vini Jr.:

Despite a series of disastrous performances, Pochettino had backed Jackson ahead of their Villa clash and has compared him with Real Madrid‘s left winger, Vinicius Jr.

He said, “He understood. But Jackson is 22, he’s young. He needs to learn, needs to improve, needs to settle. He’s going to be a fantastic player. But he needs time. I like to make similarities with players at other clubs. Jackson is a fantastic player but he needs to be calm and relaxed in front of goal. I said remember Vinicius, he took three seasons, or two and a half seasons, to perform (at Real).

Describing the scenario of the young players in the team he said,

“We’re talking about young players. You can blame us, blame me. We can talk about tactics. But they need time. There’s no doubt we have amazing talent on the team, but now they need time to settle. But he needs to be clever not to protest to the referees in this way.

He further added, “Maybe it’s his normal behavior on the pitch, it’s something maybe he can improve. Maybe this season they change the rules, he came from Spain where it’s different the relationship with the referees.
