Paul Merson has admired Liverpool midfield duo Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister. Ahead of their clash against Nottingham forest at Anfield. He has a very strong feeling that these two summer signings will be key players for the reds this season. Paul Merson praises Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as well. He thinks that the manager’s ability to spot talent and nourish them is second to none.
Szoboszlai is certainly Liverpool’s top player at the moment. He is becoming a prime candidate for transfer of the season for the reds.
Merson praised Mac Allister too. He appreciates the fact that the world cup winner is impressing everyone at a slightly unfamiliar position.
“Dominik Szoboszlai has arrived and is impressing the fans and coach with his performances, andAlexis Mac Allister is a top player too.” -said Merson.
Merson says that Alexis is playing at number 6 position which is not his usual position. But still, Liverpool are winning games. They need not worry unless a specialist defensive midfielder arrives at Anfield.
Paul Merson praises liverpool number 10 for his unusual positional duties.
As per tbrfootball, Merson is very much impressed by Alexis Mac Allister’s defensive duties even though he is a number 10. He is excited to see that how will Mac Allister perform when he will play higher up the pitch rather than performing the duties of a number 6.
No doubt that Mac Allister is doing well despite being in an unfamiliar position. But we will have to see in January if Liverpool go and sign a proper defensive midfielder or not.
In a nutshell, Liverpool have stacked up gems in their midfield with the likes of Szoboszlai, Gravenberch and MAc Allister. All of them are performing and the team is benefitting from them.
