Omari Hutchinson recieves criticism from local media outlets after his disappointing performance for Ipswich Town

Wright Chelsea's Potter

Omari Hutchinson went on a loan from Chelsea to Ipswich Town. The club sent him on loan because they wanted to give me regular playing time. Moreover, they thought that Hutchinson will develop himself in the second tier of English football because he’ll get a taste of competitive football. However, it seems like the plan didn’t worked out. Last night, Ipswich Town played a goalless draw against Queens Park Rangers. Omari Hutchinson wasn’t able to help his team in the match. He couldn’t make an impact for his team. Ipswich Town are currently at the second place, just 3 points ahead of Southampton. Leicester City are 8 points clear at the top and will most probably be back at the premier league.

According to the Chelseachronicle, local media outlets were full of criticism for the 20 year old English player. They said that Hutchinson was or effective at all against Queens Park Rangers. He had a great chance ahead of him in the match but he didn’t took advantage of it. Moreover, he looked off pace and his crosses were not effective at all. It seemed that he was not visible on the pitch. These media outlets were frustrated with the young Winger’s performance and their reaction is quite understandable. In addition to that, they’ve rated him 5 out of 10.

Omari Hutchinson has the potential to do well.

Although Hutchinson has only 3 goals for Ipswich Town in 27 appearances this season, he does have the potential to do better. There have been many instances when he displayed a cameo off the bench performances for his club. He’s already expressed that his aim is to win the champions league with Chelsea. However, he’s still not ready for premier league football. He needs one more season of loan to develop himself. Maybe he needs to go somewhere else where he can adapt to different playing conditions. Maybe he should try his luck in another country.
