There is finally a news of relief for Chelsea fans. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino has given updates regarding his squad. Moreover, there’s a good news in this update given by the Argentine coach. Firstly, Christopher Nkunku is finally available against Sheffield United. This is the news of relief for the blues fans. The 26 year old France international joined Chelsea from Rb Leipzig this season. However, he picked up a knee injury against Dortmund in a pre season friendly at the United States. Since then, he hasn’t been able to get back to the squad. But finally, the coach has revealed that the player is done with his recovery phase and is ready for his premier league debut.

According to footballlondon, Mauricio Pochettino spoke to media regarding Nkunku’s availability.

“Christopher Nkunku will be available against Sheffield United. It’s a new beginning for him. He’s recovered and is now ready to make his debut. However, we will not put too much pressure on him as this is going to be his first premier league game. He’s going to get the feel of the actual premier league match for the first time. He’s going to evolve as a player. It’s a big motivation for us, him and the fans as well”. – Mauricio Pochettino said.

Mauricio Pochettino has given updates about other players as well.

While there is a sense of relief among Chelsea fans after hearing about Nkunku’s return, there’s something that they should be worried about as well. The blues main goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez is injured and is less likely to play against Sheffield United. Moreover, Mark Cucurella is also an addition to the the club’s injury list. Chelsea will have to find an alternative for him. Furthermore, Reece James is also not available. Chelsea will be facing Sheffield without these players.

However, Christopher Nkunku is the main topic now. Let’s hope he gets a debut to remember for the blues.
