Linker said on The Rest is Football podcast: “They [Arsenal] are still up there, they are still right in it, so I am going to stick with it [them winning the league].
“Not with a great deal of confidence but I never had that in the first place, but I do think they have the makings of something.
“I think they will be fairly close to it. So I am going to stay with my initial prediction that they will win the league.”
In my opinion, Arsenal could be able to win the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool.
Yes, City are the favourites. Pep Guardiola has arguably the best squad in the Premier League.
But, Arsenal have shown that they are a force to be reckoned with. The North London club have not been at their very best this season, but they are just a point behind leaders City.
We saw last season how close Arsenal went to winning the title. Perhaps if the North London club sign a prolific striker like Ivan Tomney in the January transfer window, then they could get the job done this season.
