Garth Crooks has told Chelsea and Tottenham to go and hire Julen Lopetegui as their next permanent manager.

He told sources both the Blues and Tottenham could benefit from the appointment of the Wolves man at the end of the season.

Chelsea’s managerial search looks set to be coming to an end this week as they prepare to put the new man in place before the end of the season.

Mauricio Pochettino is widely expected to be the manager brought in at Stamford Bridge.

As the club look to recover from what has been a dire campaign.

None of Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter or Frank Lampard have been able to get a tune out of the extremely talented squad in West London,

And that has seen them linger in the bottom half of the table and out of europe

There have been frequent results which have left supporters extremely disappointed. One of these will have been Lampard’s first game back at the club, where they were defeated by Lopetegui’s wolves.

Crooks has now claimed that the Blues could do a lot worse than making the Spaniard their new manager.

He said: “Julen Lopetegui has done a brilliant job since his arrival at Molineux. His players have only really let him down once and that was at Brighton. The problem for Wolves is, can they keep him?

If Pochettino is not handed the job, Chelsea will be a bit stuck on who to bring in after narrowing down their original shortlist.

Vincent Kompany was one of the names strongly being considered,

however he has recently signed a new deal to extend his time at recently promoted Burnley.
