Folarin Balogun to Monaco is nearly a done deal now

It looks like Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun is edging ever closer to a move away from the Emirates Stadium to Monaco.

The Gunners striker’s future at the Emirates Stadium has been uncertain. This has been like this for most of the summer.

According to TheSecretScout, Balogun and his camp are expecting a medical to be booked for Saturday or Sunday in Monaco.

Earlier on Friday, BBC Sport reported that the 22-year talent was nearing a £35million move to Monaco.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail has reported that Balogun’s move to Monaco is nearly done. It would see Arsenal earn about £40million.

Monaco in desperate need for a striker and Folarin Balogun could be the answer

While Balogun would’ve been a good shout for Arsenal, they may have not been able to promise regular first-team football as they have Jesus and Nketiah. These 2 are preferred by Arteta over Balogun.

Balogun is way too good to sit on a bench every other week. So you can understand why he’s making the move to Monaco.

No doubt this is a move won’t be welcome by Arsenal fans around the globe. Balogun is an outstanding young forward. He looks like he’s got a great career ahead of him.

He was impressive at Reims last season. However, this is by exceeding expectations with 22 goals and three assists from 39 games. Balogun’s form and potential led to clubs across Europe taking notice including giants like Inter Milan.

Arsenal are now well secured in the striker department. Moreover, they would now want to sign someone to replace the injured Jurrien Timber.
