Declan Rice deal could be done immediately after European final

Flamengo is not in touch

Arsenal have now been given an exciting update on their pursuit of West Ham United captain Declan Rice. That too by Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg. However, the Sky Sports reportes provides some exciting news for Arsenal fans. He claims that Bayern are “running out of time”, while also adding: “Arsenal are further along and he could switch to the Gunners immediately.”

The Declan Rice saga goes on forever

It appears as though the 24-year-old is edging towards exiting the London Stadium this summer. With manager David Moyes admitting he could leave, while he has previously outlined that he wants to play in the Champions League.

Although the Gunners are currently leading the race. There will also be competition from Chelsea, as well as both Manchester clubs. But the report claims the Englishman wants to remain in London, which could give Mikel Arteta a real boost in the race for his signature.

And according to Sky Sports Germany reporting on their live blog the Gunners have already made an opening offer. Arsenal have submitted an €80million (£69m) to West Ham United which should be rejected out of hand by the Hammers.

Arsenal were already looking to bolster their midfield so losing Xhaka will possibly mean two new arrivals in the engine department. West Ham star Declan Rice and Brighton ace Moises Caicedo are top of the shopping list. The rumours say that the deal will cost up to €80 million. Rice is keen on a move to a Champions League team. He dreams of winning the Premier League and the Champions League.

Being young Rice could develop into a beast under Arteta. However, Thomas Partey has been one of the best Defensive Midfielders this season. Interest in Rice is certainly rife right now, with Bayern Munich the latest club to be joining the hunt. How the West Ham United faithful would love to see the England international move on abroad rather than any of their capital rivals.
