Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko hasn’t accepted a transfer offer from the Turkish Super Lig side amid an uncertain future. As per various reports, Bakayoko is still assessing his future before deciding on his next destination.
Meanwhile, Bakayoko is on loan at AC Milan. The 28-year-old midfielder arrived at the San Siro in 2021. However, the French midfielder didn’t make an appearance for the Rossoneri in the current season.
Moreover, the midfielder is linked with a move away from AC Milan. Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reported that Bakayoko has accepted an offer. Sabuncuoglu suggested that the offer came from the Turkish Super Lig club Adana Demirspor.
However, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio debunked the claim about the move. Di Marzio reported that the move hadn’t materialized yet.
Bakayoko turning out to be a forgotten Chelsea midfielder
Tiemoue Bakayoko started his youth career at Rennes and eventually earned the senior cap there. In 2017, Bakayoko signed a five-year deal for Premier League club Chelsea for a fee of around £40 million.
Meanwhile, the midfielder made 43 appearances for the club scoring 3 goals and assists across all competitions. The Frenchman has spent loan spells with AC Milan, Napoli, and AS Monaco.
Moreover, Bakayoko is spending his second loan spell with the Rossoneri. The midfielder has made only 14 appearances for AC Milan since the start of his second loan spell.
Given his lack of game time and a poor run of form, things are definitely looking bleak for the Frenchman. Meanwhile, with the major signings and reshuffles of Chelsea, the doors of moving back to his parent club are virtually closed.
As things stand, his move outside major European clubs seems ideal for him. However, he can still fight for his position for the remainder of the season if the move to Adana Demirspor doesn’t materialize.
