Chelsea will offload Callum Hudson-Odoi as soon as possible

According to rumours, Callum Hudson-Odoi of Chelsea has no future under Chelsea Boss Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge. Thus he has been offered a transfer to Fenerbahce of Turkey. Since making his debut in 2018, Hudson-Odoi, who graduated from Chelsea’s youth academy, has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the first squad. According to Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive CaughtOffside blog, Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is not a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plan at Stamford Bridge. Thus the youngster appears destined to leave the team before the summer transfer window closes.

Chelsea searching for potential suitors of Hudson-Odoi

With 126 games played for the Blues, Hudson-Odoi has provided 16 goals and 22 assists. And the 22-year-old played in seven Champions League matches three seasons ago, when Thomas Tuchel steered the west London powerhouse to the title victory. Prior to the previous season, Hudson-Odoi was loaned out to Bayer Leverkusen, but he only made seven Bundesliga starts. The player hasn’t even been on the substitutes’ bench for either of Chelsea’s first two Premier League matches this season. Hence his future currently seems to be outside of Stamford Bridge.

The Turkish media report said that Fenerbahce had received an offer for Hudson-Odoi. Chelsea is demanding £8 million for the youngster who only has one year left on his Blues contract. Although the competition for the player’s services would probably drive up the transfer fee, the 19-time Turkish champions haven’t decided whether to make a move for him. The Evening Standard claims that Hudson-Odoi is eager to leave Chelsea in order to restart his career. He is prepared to accept a substantial pay reduction after reaching an agreement with Fulham. However, Everton and Nottingham Forest have also entered the race to recruit the winger, putting the Craven Cottage team in a transfer war.

Fenerbahce might sign Hudson-Odoi after Fulham quitting the race

Fabrizio Romano anticipates the 22-year-old to leave, but it appears that a deal with Fulham is presently off. Nottingham Forest is another option for him, but nothing is really imminent. The transfer expert says: “Departures also remain something to keep an eye on, with Callum Hudson-Odoi another player out of the Chelsea project. The latest is that Fulham have left the race for his signature as of now. There’s also interest from Nottingham Forest but nothing close yet.”

However Romano is sure of his exit. Romano adds: “Still, he will leave Chelsea for sure, the club has been very clear in their message to the player to find another solution this summer.”

Fulham has refused to pay Chelsea’s £8 million asking price for the attacker, which has upset Chelsea. The Cottagers, on the other hand, believe that Chelsea are asking for too much money for the star. The transfer of Hudson-Odoi will save the Blues £120,000 a week in salary. Now it remains to be seen whether the Turkish giants can sign the young attacker.
