Serbian goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic is on the brink of becoming a part of Chelsea. Hence, observant fans may have noticed his presence in the stands at Stamford Bridge during last night’s 3-0 victory against Luton Town.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper purportedly journeyed to London to complete his medical evaluation. That is as part of his impending transfer from MLS team New England Revolution. However, information from football.london indicates that he took a step further by entering the Chelsea dressing room. That is after the triumph to connect with and commemorate alongside his forthcoming teammates.

Petrovic’s impending arrival will mark Chelsea’s 15th acquisition during the summer transfer window. He will assume the role of a backup goalkeeper for Robert Sanchez. Especially following the departures of Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Players to leave Chelsea and what benefits will the club get?

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s departure from Chelsea appears imminent, as his proposed £8 million transfer to Fulham reportedly hit a snag earlier this week. The 22-year-old spent a significant portion of the previous season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen. However, it is now evident that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge. As he does not feature in Mauricio Pochettino’s forthcoming strategies for the team.

In a potential turn of events, Jose Mourinho might come to Chelsea’s aid in the final stages of the transfer window. That is after considering the acquisition of outcast striker Romelu Lukaku for AS Roma. This could potentially alleviate Chelsea’s significant predicament regarding the player.

Reports indicate that representatives from both clubs are slated to convene in London over the weekend. Thus, aiming to finalize an agreement that could facilitate the departure of the 30-year-old from Stamford Bridge. The arrangement could encompass either a loan move or a permanent transfer.

This potential move would reunite the duo, who had previously spent three seasons together during their stints at both Chelsea and Manchester United in the past decade.
