The international break is coming to its end. The players are returning to their respective clubs. Same is the case with Chelsea. The blues are preparing for their clash against Newcastle United at St. James Park. Moreover, the club would be aiming for a win because these 3 points would be crucial for them in their pursuit of getting into top 4. After defeating Tottenham Hotspurs and playing a 4-4 draw with Manchester City, Mauricio Pochettino and his men are in high spirits. Furthermore, Pochettino must be careful before heading to St. James Park as Newcastle too, are in high spirits after defeating Arsenal. However, the good news is we’re going to see Chelsea stars return to the training anytime soon.

As per footballlondon, Mauricio Pochettino is currently organising the training session with some senior players of the team and some players from the youth academy. Since international break is yet to be over, players will take a while to rejoin their respective clubs. However, players like Reece James stayed back to focus on the recovery from injury. James was spotted joining the training session on Monday. His fellow countrymen, Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer are currently at international duty and they’ll join him soon. Because of this, James will get some time to focus on his individual training sessions.

The new signing might get his debut as Chelsea stars return back to training.

Christopher Nkunku, this season’s most talked about signing, might step on the ground against Newcastle. However, it’s just a mere possibility because the player is still in the recovery phase and no official reports have emerged out as of now. In addition to that, Nkunku alongwith Romeo Lavia, was training seperately from the team during the training session. This could be a sign that the Frenchman could be missing the game at St. James Park. In the meanwhile, Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling were also spotted during their gym session and they are more likely to start against Newcastle United.
