Gary Neville expressed his enthusiasm for the forthcoming developments at Chelsea. That is under the guidance of their new manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

During his conversation, Neville stated his belief that Mauricio Pochettino is to excel in his role at Chelsea. Thus, deliver exceptional results for the club during his tenure.

After an extensive interview process, Pochettino emerged as the chosen individual selected by the owners to guide Chelsea back to what they perceive as their rightful place at the upper echelons of the table.

In the previous season, the team faced a period of decline under the leadership of Graham Potter. A situation that continued to worsen. This was a departure from the plans they had in place to see Potter get success in his role over a span of years.

How is new Chelsea manager faring so far?

Although it’s still early in the process, starting the season with an undefeated pre-season record under the new manager is undoubtedly an effective approach to garnering support from the fans.

Neville holds the perspective that Pochettino has history of nurturing younger players. Thus, he positions him well for the upcoming endeavors at Stamford Bridge.

Neville said:

“I think he’s a class act. At the time when it was Ten Hag or Pochettino at United, I would have said go for him. I think he’ll do an outstanding job at Chelsea. He’s class, he will not carry any deadwood, he’ll get rid of them. If you don’t see that desire that you’re talking about.”

The initial encounter between the Blues and Liverpool, will undoubtedly be intriguing to observe. Even in the absence of Christopher Nkunku, the matchup will surely offer an exciting spectacle.
