Lukaku to be seen in Newcastle

Romelu Lukaku recently broke the record for most goals scored in European Qualifiers against Azerbaijan. The Belgian has been performing well for Jose Mourinho’s side AS Roma this season. Lukaku is on loan from Chelsea at Roma till the end of the season without a buying clause. But according to recent reports, Chelsea and AS Roma have agreed a transfer fee for the 30-year-old. The former Chelsea boss is impressed with the Belgian’s performances at Roma. He has scored nine goals in 14 appearances for the Serie A side.

Romelu Lukaku set to join AS Roma

The Belgian Striker reportedly wants to stay at Roma and Jose Mourninho also wants the same. According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Chelsea have agreed to a €38m price tag for Lukaku’s transfer in the next summer. However, they could use an experienced striker next season. But if Lukaku is inclined to stay, it is not in the club’s hands to keep him at the Stamford Bridge. Lukaku joined Roma on loan at the deadline day of the transfer window. His jab at the former coach Thomas Tuchel in the media made him fall out of favours in the club. He previously spent a season on loan at Inter Milan. Lukaku has been speaking out to the media against the blues and desperately wants to stay in Italy, as per media reports.

Will his transfer saga come to an end this summer for Chelsea?

Roma’s director Tiago Pinto looks to move forward the negotiations for the Belgian with the blues. Tiago will hope to get a discount on the agreed fees of €38 million, as the player and the club both want him to stay at the Stadio Olimpico. Whatever the outcome will be of the negotiations, this summer will be the last of Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea most probably in the current circumstances.
