Chelsea have started talks over the 16 year old Brazilian winger’s transfer.

Chelsea have started talks over the transfer of Estevão Willian. The 16 year old Brazilian winger is one of the emerging talents in Brazil. Moreover, Chelsea want to secure his signing before the competition to sign him gets intense. As per the sources, Chelsea are the only major club in the pursuit of the young attacker as of now. Estevão is only 16 and has made his first senior appearance in the final league game for Palmeiras. Furthermore, he was on the pitch for 12 minutes. The best part is, Palmeiras won the Brazilian league title after the match. That means Willian has already added one trophy to his cabinet in his first ever senior team appearance.

According to sportwitness, Willian has a €45 million release clause. Moreover, 70% of the player’s rights is with the club and the remaining 30% is with his camp. Furthermore, he’s just 16 years old. That simply means that Chelsea would have to wait till 2026 if they want to take the youngster to London. That’ll give some time to Estevão Willian to develop as a player in his home country. However, Chelsea would be monitoring his performance during all this time.

Chelsea have started talks to add another young talent to their squad.

As we already know, Estevão Willian isn’t the first young talent that is going to be a blues player(if the transfer happens). Chelsea have already got the Ecuador international Kendry Paez who’ll be arriving at the Stamford Bridge when he’s 18 years old. That clearly shows that the club is determined to invest in young talents. They want to get these players when they are at their learning age. They have plenty of room for improvement. They can make mistakes and take risks. That’ll only help them to develop as a player in the long run.
