They think that the money Nottingham forest is asking is a lot higher than what they are willing to pay.

Chelsea does not think that Brennan Johnson is worth 50 million.

Johnson was the player who has been linked with chelsea for a move since the last season.

The club thinks that his versatility to play along the frontlin is something that attracted the club.

Understands that Brennan Johnson is very much liked by Chelsea as an option to join the club over the summer window.

The Blues have opened initial talks with Nottingham Forest over signing the winger, following on from their collapsed deal for Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.

But the price tag made the chelsea cold feet to sign the youngster.

Other clubs are also intrested in signing Johnson.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Brennan Johnson

A report claims that the 22-year-old Welsh international is valued at £50 million but Spurs are unwilling to pay that kind of money for him.

Apparently, the winger is keen on a move to Tottenham and personal terms will not be a problem between the two parties.

However, negotiations between Tottenham and Nottingham Forest have been hugely frustrating.

It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can come to a compromise soon.

The newly appointed Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is hugely keen on signing the 22-year-old.

Johnson mainly operates as the right-sided winger and he will add goals and creativity from the flanks.

He is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three.

The Welsh international scored 10 goals across all competitions for Nottingham Forest last season.

He will be ready to take the next step in his career and join a top-six club.
