Chelsea are waiting for the response from the Brazilian club Corinthians with respect to the signing of their young talent Gabriel Moscardo. The 18 year old defensive midfielder is impressing everyone with his performances. Because of this, he’s attracting intrests from all over the Europe. As per the reports, Barcelona and Arsenal are also in the race to sign the young midfielder. However, Chelsea has made the first move towards the player.
According to caughtoffside, the blues have put an offer on the table that is worth €25 million. As per the club officials at the Stamford Bridge, the offer was made in July and they are still waiting for the response from the Brazilian club. Moreover, there’s a high probability that the response will come in the January transfer window. Moscardo is going to leave Corinthians in the coming months as per the reports. Furthermore, the 18 year old would be most probably be aiming for a move to a big European club.
Why Chelsea are waiting for the player since July?
As we’ve already discussed, the offer to Gabriel Moscardo was made in July. To this day, the blues are monitoring his situation. Moreover, intrest from FC Barcelona has raised concerns for Mauricio Pochettino as the young midfielder might want to make a move to Spain. Barcelona want to fill the void created by their legendary defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets. Moscardo is the most suitable choice for the Catalans as of now.
